Fairfield Welcomes Toolkit Trainee Scott

Fairfield took on it’s latest Toolkit Trainee a few weeks ago. Scott Nisbett is 17 and was a pupil at Perth Academy.  After leaving, Scott completed the ‘LINC’ course at Careers Scotland which offers a mix of training in First Aid, HeartStart, Food Hygiene, Website design, and Fire and Car Crash Prevention.  Scott also benefited from free driving lessons.  Since starting at Fairfield he has been helping with grass cutting, litter picking and stair cleaning. Scott said, “I’ve enjoyed working with the other caretakers and am getting on well with them.  I’m enjoying the grass cutting but I’m not so keen on stair cleaning.”  Scott will be with the Co-operative for a six month placement and Toolkit Project Co-ordinator will assist Scott in finding a full time position or apprenticeship thereafter.

If you are interested in the Toolkit Project or know someone who is looking for work experience, contact the office and speak to Jimmy to find out more.
