Development Update

Leonard Street is progressing well despite a few unforeseen events. The adjoining site was sold and subsequently demolished so remedial work to neighbouring properties is now underway along with construction of a new party wall. The timber kits have been delivered however and the development is now starting to take shape. Progress has been delayed slightly but it expected the site will be completed around the end of 2010.

Phase 3 of the regeneration of Muirton is underway with the demolition of all the existing blocks complete, and the contractors on-site. 27 homes will be built, a mix of 3, 4 & 5 apartment properties, all houses. Some of the remaining tenants in decant properties in Muirton will move into these homes and the remaining properties will be filled by nominations from Perth & Kinross Council. Anyone interested in the properties at Muirton should contact the Co-operative’s office in the first instance to obtain further information.
