Sad death of Fairfield Housing Co-operative’s Secretary

Caryl Kelman the Secretary of Fairfield Housing Co-operative has died suddenly at home in Fairfield Perth. Caryl (67) who prior to retiring worked with Perth & Kinross Council finance department, was a long standing board member at Fairfield.

Perth native Caryl proudly held the key role of secretary with Fairfield for the last three years and made a significant contribution to the Co-operative’s work. Caryl was also heavily involved with the Scottish Urban Regeneration Forum, the national Community Voices Network and Perth & Kinross Local Regeneration Partnership.

Grant Ager Director of Fairfield Housing Co-operative said, “Caryl was a tremendous board member, one of the backroom with an eye for policy and finance. She coupled this with a very active interest in people and was thoughtful and kind to all. She will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Caryl’s sons Andrew & Michael and their families at this sad time. “
