Estate Management is one of the most vital parts of the Co-operative's day-to-day work and we take a very pro-active approach in managing all factors within the Fairfield estate, which affect the quality of life of all our residents. The Co-operative offers it's tenants a range of services which help to maintain the Fairfield area and enhance the appearance of the estate.
We will regularly ask tenants for their views on the standards of management and services they receive to ensure that all Fairfield residents are satisfied with the way the estate looks and the services they receive.
Caretaking Services
The Co-operative employs three Estate Catetakers who carry out a range of tasks including litter picking, graffiti removal, grass cutting and a bulk uplift service. Stair cleaning in Fairfield is carried out by an external contractor, who for 2009/2010 is C.M. Cleaning. Click here to download a summary of the Caretaker's Duties
Service Standards
The Co-operative sets out it's standards for it's estate services in it's Estate Management Policy, click here to download this. You can also view the Stair Cleaning Specification here.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service you receive from the Co-operative you can contact the Co-operative's office to discuss this. Alternatively you can download the leaflet from the Downloads Page, 'How To Make A Complaint'.
Tenant's views
Take a minute to complete our Estate Services Questionnaire. Tell us what you think about the services you receive, the only way we can improve things is if you tell us how we are doing. You can download the questionnaire here and send it in to us, drop it off at the office or e-mail it to us.
Recycling
We are currently working with Perth & Kinross Council to come up with the best solution to providing Recycling facilities for all of our tenants. The Co-operative is keen to encourage recycling amongst tenants and is hopeful that a recycling point can be developed within the Fairfield Estate. We'll keep you advised of any progress made on the website.
In the meantime, the nearest recycling facilities to Fairfield are located at Asda on Dunkeld Road and Tesco on Crieff Road.
Bulk Item Uplift Service
The Co-operative will collect any items of unwanted furniture or other bulky items free of charge. Leave any items outside your block on a Wednesday evening or Thursday morning and the Caretakers will uplift them on Thursday mornings.

The landscaping contractor for the year 2009/2010 is T&N Gilmartin Ltd.

We aim to cut grass once every two weeks – this is weather dependant. Please make sure that your garden is cleared of any toys, garden furniture etc. We will not cut grass where there is any dog fouling.

Tenant's Responsibilities
Whilst the Co-operative provides a number of estate services, tenants themselves have a role to play in looking after the estate, and we rely on them to help us make Fairfield a good place to live:
- Where you have exclusive use of the garden attached to your house, we ask that you keep the garden, footpaths and driveways clean and tidy, free from weeds, litter and dog and other animal dirt. Keep the grass neat and tidy.
- The Co-operative does not allow the parking of boats, trailers, caravans and motor homes.
- If you keep a dog, please ensure that you do not allow it to wander around the estate. If you do, we will call the dog warden. Remember that you could be fined if you let your dog foul and fail to pick it up. Free dog bags are available from the office.
